From Dunn Cove to Pickering Creek. Mostly rain and fog. Mid 50's. Motored the whole way using the Knapp Narrow's shortcut. We stayed cozy down below once on the hook. Bless those 12 volt heat pumps and lithium batteries.

A delightful sail on the Choptank after an even more delightful breakfast with Lynn's friends Linda and Steve Long. Our destination was Dunn Cove. Winds mostly NW at 5-10 knots. Drizzle in the morning follow by cloudy skies with temperatures approaching 60 degrees. Not a single sail boat in sight for the third straight day.

Leaving the Rhode River
We left the Rhode River at 9:30 am with 5 to 10 knots almost always on the nose. When we turned the corner into the Choptank River the wind shifted to the East, still on the nose. On the way to Trippe Creek we toured Town Creek then traveled to the end of the Tred Avon to visit Marie and Tim Paris. Temperature peaked at 55 degrees. Mostly cloudy with light rain in the morning.

Lynn Donches, Debbie Spear and I embarked on our Spring Cruise. A very pleasant sail to the Rhode River with temperatures in the 50s, Winds East 5-10 knots. On approach to our anchorage we were amazed to see another sailboat at anchor but upon a closer look the boat was obviously abandoned months ago. Nice dinghy ride and sunset!
