I spotted something on the eastern shore of the Severn River as I was crossing the Rt. 50 bridge and decided to take a look by boat. It was a beautiful sunny morning with just a thin sheet of ice as I was heading out. I did find a fairly large floating mat though it was in a spot that was way too shallow to retrieve. Nice day, the swells coming off the bay were really starting to grow and the wind picked up.

Headed out to enjoy a very sunny January day trip to Annapolis. I bit of very thin ice was no issue but sure sounded interesting. Very calm day, it is so much fun to see all the homes obscured by leaves during the summer. Annapolis is always beautiful but sunset it pretty spectacular.

What a great time to start boating in 2024. Towed "Lil' Stinker" down to Shadyside to try out the free boat ramp. Nice simple ramp with easy access to the West River. Enjoyed a blustery trip accross the West river into the Rhodes river and several of the tributaries.
