Our decision to delay departure was a good one. Very strong wind overnight. The water was blown out of the Bay. We departed an hour earlier to avoid being stuck at the dock. An inch lower and we'd still be there. Sunny, high 54, winds 15-25 knots from the NNW. Gusts to 30. Very exciting sail down the Bay with good surfing waves. Peak boat speed of 10.5 knots. We overtook a barge and tugboat heading our direction. Double reef in main and jib.

We anchored in Back Creek, just past Solomon's Island.
