The J/22 Geronimo has a pretty great video up on YouTube. "Today's plan is to try and break our personal speed record of 16 knots without breaking anything else," the skipper writes. With some Red Stripe and a few winning attitudes, the crew went out in 30+ knots of breeze and hoisted the kite. Amazingly enough, the chute survived, and the only thing lost was a batten.

The skipper explains that the leeward twing was holding the spinsheet low and out of the way of the boom. "When I eased it, the spin sheet then raised up and touched the boom, which prevented me from easing it out when the gusts hit."
