Fun alert! On July 13, the Eastport Yacht Club and East of Maui Boardshop in Annapolis are joining together to hold an amazing event, the 2013 Chesapeake Stand Up Challenge.
For those of you who are more experienced paddlers, there is a 6.5 mile challenge, but the fun is not just for the experienced. Novice paddlers can participate in a 3-3.5 mile paddle. Don’t worry, your hard work does not go unrewarded! After the challenge there will be food, drink, and live music. Come out and meet some fellow paddlers! If you are concerned about your skill level but would still like to get out on the water, or even would just like to try out a new board, there will be SUP lessons and demos from 12:30 – 3 p.m. The pre-race meeting is at 8:45 a.m, the long course start is 9:30 a.m and the short course start is 9:35 a.m.
