I rushed home from work to catch the tail end of the Blue Angels practice. I missed most of the show but got to see some friends out on the water. It was a beautiful day!

I served two days of race committee duty on the SSA red RHIB as the pin boat for the Soling Notth American Championship. Friday was cold, rainy and breeze on! We tried to set a course on Saturday but found it too light for the amount of current. Oh well. It was a fun weekend on the water.
Boat work season is in full swing...
May 4- wash and prep Key West for launch.
May 19 - Spring wash on Terrapin
The Tuesday evening racing at SSA has started! Fun on the water with friends every Tuesday!

We rode the ferry from Ceiba to Culebra for our annual winter vacation! It was a smooth full moon ride to and a bumpy gusty ride back 10 days later. We did catch a glimpse of a momma and baby whale on the return trip.
While in Culebra we took the water taxi to Culebrita for some hiking and snorkeling (sadly, in the rain). Maybe better weather next year!

March 24- final day of the Frostbite season!
An SSA sailing tradition! The ILCA fleet fielded fifteen boats for the Annual Stuart Walker Ice Bowlz. We raced 11 miles up and back down the Severn River on a chilly, overcast New Years Day. As always it was a challenging race. A great way to start the year!
I started the year off right with a sail up the Severn River for the annual Ice Bowl regatta. Always a fun event and a great way to start the year!
I made it to two days of the ILCA frostbite series in 2023. Sadly we lost two day to lack of breeze. Hoping for more breeze in the new year!
We took the Key West out for the last time this year. We had a lovely day for a boat ride and had one last stab at catching rockfish. Sadly no fish but maybe next year! Now she is hauled and ready for winter.
