Newport to Bermuda: Thursday Update

It's nice and breezy here in Annapolis, but this apparently wasn't the case further south as boats struggled to continue forward progress. Ten teams ended up retiring from the race, anticipating missed flights and tightening schedules. Even those who did finish mentioned that this was one of the longest Bermuda races in a while.

So how did the Bay fleet do? NOT TOO SHABBY. Out of the ten boats who did retire early, not a single Bay boat was among them. But even more impressive, we had multiple podium finishers in their classes. Below are the results as scored under ORR (IRC results can be seen here). Talbot Wilson comments that "not all boats race under IRC, but all race under ORR, the uniform rule for the race."
