Annapolis area sailors know what CRAB stands for: Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating. Most know it through its awesome August regatta. Since its inception, SpinSheet has sponsored this fun, pursuit-style race and excellent after-party at Eastport YC. Here's a note from our friends at CRAB about how you can help and become a virtual skipper:
Dear Friends, Patrons, and Donors:
We are pleased to announce the Boatyard Bar & Grill Regatta to benefit CRAB on Saturday, August 20, 2016. We are expecting a record crowd of skippers, sailors, and supporters to attend what is becoming one of the largest and most fun regattas on the Bay.
To ensure that everyone gets an opportunity to be involved and have a personal stake in the success of the regatta, we have created a Crowdrise page that allows you to be a skipper of a crew of donors. Please go to the Crowdrise link HERE. Click on FUNDRAISE FOR THIS CAMPAIGN and follow the instructions to create your own team page. You will have the option of adding a favorite picture and to set a goal for yourself. Then send the link to your friends, family, and neighbors by email, Facebook, or any social media you like to use to encourage everyone to make a donation to your team in support of CRAB as part of this great regatta.
If you have any difficulty in setting up a Crowdrise account, please contact CRAB and we will assist you with the process. Last year we raised over $8000 for CRAB using Crowdrise. We hope to do much better this year and with your support we are well on our way to being successful.
