SpinSheet reader Andrew is organizing a 26 mile bike trip to SpinSheet's April 19 Crew Party in Annapolis and invites people to join him. The trip starts in Washington DC, uses bike-friendly public transportation to BWI, and follows a series of off-street bike trails to Annapolis. Participants make their own plans for getting home afterwards, such as arranging rides with friends.
It kicks off plans to do a series of "Bike and Sails" this summer, as a way to find people to go sailing with who are active in multiple sports. "I've been doing this on my own for a bunch of years," says Andrew, "it will be fun to have people join me."
Future "Bike and Sail" plans include day sailing a keelboat at Annapolis Community Boating, taking Andrew's own boat out in Annapolis, and biking out to the Corn Roasts at Baltimore County Sailing Center to sail on their dinghies.
