It's the Navy's 238th birthday on October 13. I think we're well past the whole "paper, silver, gold" anniversary categories, if I do say so myself. The 238th anniversary would be something like uranium, and I'm just not willing to be on the State Department's watch list for that (great as Navy is and all).
However, several area merchants are helping you celebrate by posting some great sales. There's also apparently blue and gold ice cream being passed out somewhere-- if you find out where, let us know. We're all about ice cream.
