Got to use it as a floating platform so I could attach a bumper to a piling on my dock. Works so much better than a kayak!
Also got to take it for a run to fill it up. Had been a month, and had some serious use, but it only took 21 gallons, out of a 45 gallon tank. Did cxost $108 though...
Had a good race on yet another sailboat this week, as i continued to wait for my new Tartan 245 to be delivered. It was a Beneteau First 27, another of the boats that i'd considered at last October's boat show. Handled the main, and boy, were its sails a thing of beauty. Really helped accelerate out of the tacks, and get up to nice upwinde speed. Not as successful downwind, since the boat doesn't yet have its spinnaker, but one thing at a time.
is what my SeaRay 205 Sport is made for. My daughter invited over two friends, and they had a good, laughing time as we first towed them on the tube (sub-optimal) and then a two-person inflatable hot dog we have. A great afternoon!
Went out with a friend on his dinghy, and had a nice 90 minute sail.
Then we took out my powerboat for him to get a sense of how it performed. Fun double-header!
Another night doing pit on Delhler 39
Fun part of fostering oysters for the winter in cages under our dock is being able to plant them in the spring. Took our three cages full and dumped them into a bucket and drove to the designated spot between the two bridges on the Severn and dumped them overside. Fun!
Took a friend's dinghy out alone one evening, and had a great trip upwind on Round Bay towards the bridges. The wind dies on the way back but had a handy engine so started it right up and made it home.
Looked like we'd be able to get a nice dinghy ride in after work on a Thursday, but then the rain didn't hold off as it was forecast to, so we got a tad wet on the return,. Oh well!
Again on Himmel, a neighbor's Dehler 39. Enough wind to do course AVAV and not have to shorten it. Handled pit for third time.
