I saw manatees up the river from Fort Hamer and a dolphin by the house. Thursday was a blow-out caused by a nasty cold front, but I got out every other day.
Century Club: Ben Clark
Palmetto kayak journeies.
Probably my last day on the waTer for the year. I went downtown. The chart plotter says 148 miles logged.
The warm weather came back for a few days and I got to go kayaking every day this weekend while Amelia and her parents were in town for early thanksgiving.
45 degrees but sunny and calm. 4 yard patrol boats were tied up at the academy, all of the old wooden variety. Skunked again by the rockfish.
Fixed the little trailer at the cabin and took the old kayak up to the mountain lake to *not* catch bass.
Broke the trailer on the way back down.
Quick paddle up to the academy bridge. I wanted to go try to go downtown, since the Pride of Baltimore is in town, but too much to do today.
100 days on the water, now it's time to go to the cabin.
Grey and drizzle couldn't keep me off the water to score day 99!
98 days on the water and I finally hooked a rockfish. 13 inches of bull fury churning the sea into a sea thing mass of foam, and for the first time this year, if you don't count the two cownose rays I caught back in the spring.
