We had friends visit today from Virginia. Beautiful weather and perfect wind. We sailed down around TP light. We were out for almost 5 hours doing a steady 5-6 knots.

Had a nice day sail on Thursday afternoon just around Annapolis. Sailed out of Back Creek across the Bay and then back into Annapolis Harbor where we picked up a mooring ball and spent the night. Beautiful cool evening and we were treated to a Harvest Moon!
We left Safe Harbor Oxford at 7:15 am. We were able to sail the whole way to Knapps Narrows. After we went through the narrows the wind died. We tried using the whisker pole to catch more wind. It was very hot (90's) so we eventually turned on the motor. We arrived back at our marina on Back Creek at 1:30.
Left Knapps at 10:30. They had to open the bridge for us. After we got through the Narrows we were able to sail. Great winds. Arrived in Oxford around 1 pm. We're staying at Safe Harbor Oxford for 2 nights.

Left port A around 1 pm. Very choppy on the bay with decent winds but they weren't in our favor in order to reach our destination. We did motor sail for awhile. Winds and waves really picked up later in the afternoon. We spent the night at Knapps Narrows marina. Gorgeous sunset. We slept good until the watermen started their days at 4am!
Left Port Annapolis on Back Creek at 11:30 am not expecting much wind. But there was. Very finicky and changeable winds. We sailed up under the bridge and around the Bay outside of Annapolis. Lots of tacking to get back to our marina at 5 pm.
5-1/2 hours.
Left Port Annapolis (back creek) at 10:30. We just sailed around the bay near Annapolis. Sailed past Thomas Point Light. Winds were good but finicky.
We returned to Port Annapolis at 3:30. Our jib fowled so we had to take it down off the halyard. Fixed it at the marina. Very hot and humid.
Departed from CBMM in St. Michael's around 8 am. Lots of wind on the Miles River but it was on our nose. As we headed south on Eastern Bay we were on a Broad Reach in about 5 k of wind. As we rounded Bloody Point the wind dropped off. Water was very choppy due to lots of power boats passing near us. We had to turn on the motor for the rest of the trip to Back Creek. Very hot day again- mid 90's. Arrived back to our marina at about 2:30. Trip was approximately 6-1/2 hours.
We left Port Annapolis on Back Creek at 8:30 am. Very little wind so we motored all the way to St. Michael's. We arrived around 1 pm. We are docked at CBMM. They are having a 4th of July celebration.
