Annual NewYear's Sail with the Kentmore Park Sail Club. Sailed my Laser sailboat.
Century Club: Rob Hindman
I took a RIB ride at sunset to view the Christmas dock lights on Turner's Creek and observe the Canadian Geese coming in for the night.
I took one last cruise up the river before loading the boat on her trailer and getting her home for a good wash.
A nice paddle around Turner's Creek and brought our motorboat in from the sailboat mooring.
Today was the last sail for Maggie this year. I would like to dedicate my Century Award to my good friend John Mecca who passed in September. John was a devoted Sunfish and Lightning sailor. He was a Century Club member several times.
We took Maggie to Skipjack Cove Marina to top off fuel and an end of the season pump out.
An exciting ride on the Sassafras River. During a sharp turn the engine almost ran out of gas. I had to slowly go home on a minimum amount of gas. Made it home without using the oars! Always check the fuel before you go.
Another nice Boat ride on the Sassafras River.
Another nice Boat ride on the Sassafras River.
I used my Boston Whaler to help a friend find his lost mooring chain. We towed a grappling hook until we caught the mooring anchor and then a strong magnet to retrieve the chain. The search and recovery took a couple of hours.
