Decided to go out last Sunday morning, Wind at the dock was a comfortable 12kts... I had a new staysail i wanted to try out and this would have been the perfect condictions for it... untill we got out to the river and quickly had over 30kts of wind and white caps! were were sailing on a brode reach with just a staysail up and making 6.2kts of boat speed! it was crazy... however.... we decided that it wasnt worth breaking the boat BEFOR the race season. So we turned around and headed back in. A short but fun day on the water. Picture was taken of us as we were motering back in.
