  • Opening of marshc trail I went into

Went out in late afternoon, had whole creek to myself until some obnoxious trawler went by. I paddled more toward opposite shore to avoid it,  then I heard first, then saw a bald eagle in the trees. I quietly paddled as close as I could, then realized there were 2 of them. I wondered if that was their nest, but then as I was watching them they suddenly flew off. A few minutes later one flew back with a fish in its talons, too quick for me to grab a pic, but it flew behind the trees and I didn't see it emerge, so maybe that wasn't the nest where I saw them.  At any rate, I had a homebrew beer with me in an old Tropical Smoothie container, which I finished by the time I returned,  so the whole experience was very enjoyable.
