Today is our final day before our arrival in Charleston to see my cousin Louise. With only 26 nm remaining we had bacon, eggs, muffin and fruit for breakfast prior to our 9:00 am departure. It was a pleasant five hour journey with the last hour under full sail into the Charleston harbor. We did hold briefly for a barge coming through in the opposite direction at the swing bridge. We also witnessed a boat with a 65 foot mast squeeze under a bridge with a 65 foot clearance. Finally, we did a full stop grounding because one of the boats coming in the opposite direction didn't give sufficient room. Shortly after our arrival, Kris and Debbie went shopping and I met Louise on the dock. Unfortunately, upon boarding Mystic, Louise grabbed the wheel for support. The wheel spun and Louise fell breaking two ribs. Meanwhile, Bill Barton and his friend Marcia show up during this calamity. I spent the remainder of the day with Louise in the Hospital. Meanwhile, Keith Kersey arrived to join us during the next week of our journey. I'm pleased to say that Louise is on the mend and I'll update tomorrow.
