Trip length:
1 day
Type of watercraft:

  • ALGOMA VALUE and such an interesting/beautiful sky for just past 11am this morning!
  • A ritual to always stop by Thomas Point Light on the last day of the season, even though it was pretty choppy and windy....
  • I was proud to help dress her up for the holidays this year - she looks so festive!
  • Marker 1A as I headed to the mouth of West River....
  • A view out to the Bay at the mouth of West River - gorgeous sky today!
  • Looking back out the Rhode River - gorgeous!
  • "Home" for winterization... sigh....

So, I finally found, and had to take, a weather window to get the boat to the Marina for winter storage, but it's one of my least favorite days of the year.  It is particularly so this year as I have had such FUN participating here in the Century Club!  I don't need to be pushed to go boating, but this has raised it to a new level.  Due to this fun challenge, I have done a little more, seen a lot more, gotten out in trickier conditions than I might otherwise have gone for, and thoroughly enjoyed the journey!  But, it is isn't getting warmer or less windy - it was super choppy and windy today - and so it's time.  Thanks again to Spinsheet for this fun adventure and 2023 boating season - so hard to have it end (although I hope to get a few more days in in 2023 on other's boats)!  Here are my last pics from my boat for 2023!

By the way, I would have loved just one more susnet ride (weather has not cooperated recently for me), but the sky today was so interesting and colorful between 11am and noon when I was out, that I gladly took and appreciated it!  :-)
