Headed out at noon with a temperature of 73 degrees (eventually got up to 78), barometer at 30.00 under sunny skies. Winds were out of the north 10+ knots with some gusts up to about 20. Got the main sail up by day beacon 7 and gently sailed down Langford creek. When I got out in the Chester, I decided to stay on a beam reach - first on a starboard tack and then a port tack. On the port tack, I headed up the Chester and made it all the way up to conquest beach before turning back - again on a starboard tack. After a bit of fooling around out there, I decided to try and sail back to the marina - which was going to be tough since Langford creek is basically due north! I did make it all the way up the creek - even past the day beacon #7 before I dropped the sail.
it was a fantastic day out there and I am looking forward to tomorrow - supposed to be a bit gnarly out there!!
