Another great day on the water. We sailed to 2nd in the combined B/C fleet.

HAMPTON ANNUAL MIDDLE GROUND LIGHT RACE. Wind in the high teens and steady SW, choppy seas throughout the mainly windward-leeward race around government marks. It was a “go big or go home” kind of day. And, as a whole, this bunch, without a doubt, went big. Racing was a brawl across the course and up and down the fleets. Of the 25 entries, only 2 did not attack the course (one lost her rudder before the start and the other was absent altogether). The race marked the true beginning of the southern Bay fall / winter season and will be crucial for establishing braggin’ rights from now through the end of the year.
