The pin in the gooseneck fell out. Fortunately it was lying on the seat.
I've learned to keep spare parts on board.
Fixed.
Had a terrific Sunday morning sail.
I motored out to the middle of Mattox Creek to raise my main sail when I saw a pin on the seat cushion. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out where it came from until I raised the sail and realized it came out of the gooseneck holding the boom to the mast. Fortunately, I had some spare cotter rings on board, so it worked out to be just a minor inconvenience. Had a nice sail after that.
