The forecasted 12-14 knots of wind did not live up to its billing, but I made the most of it with the yankee, staysail, and full main flying. The top speed I saw on the GPS was 5.8 and if the wind had held up I know I would have made over 7 knots. Nonetheless, it was a great afternoon of solo sailing in the Pax River Basin and out into the Chesapeake.
