100 degrees out. I'd rather be in the water than on it. But, the flag on our dock was barely fluttering so I went out on the kayak with an adult beverage anticipating a leisurly watery happy hour, while Alan decided to go out for a sail. He headed east, I went north to go around Wirts Wharf and was accosted by northern winds stronger than I've ever encountered before. I paddled hard into the gale force winds to the other side of the creek while the waves were sending spray over and into the kayak! Really? The kayak? I made it to the other side of the creek but I couldn't even get a sip of my drink battling the wind and waves, white caps were everywhere, worse Ive ever seen while kayaking. .Couldn't even take a pic I was so busy trying not to die, keeping the kayak upright and avoiding the rocks along the shore. Paddled back around the bend and then calm, flat water, mild breeze. Go figure. I do not understand wind. Now I'm on the deck drinking my well deserved adult beverage. I'm still sweating
