Tried and failed to get a pic of the white caps.
Headed into the waves and wind.
Almost crashing into the rocks.
Waves and me.
Very windy, I don't know my knots from MPH, but it was around 10 mph; whatever that is in knots, it was windy enough to produce white caps in the creek which always cracks me up. Of course took a beer with me, tried to paddle into the wind but the waves were too big, so I turned around to go around Wirts Wharf. It was actually fun as I surfed the waves into the wharf. More protected on that side so I was able to leisurely paddle around and finish my beer. Warmish day out, so ended up being a really nice paddle until it was time to head home, and had to paddle into the gale storm and fight the waves. I was out of breath by the time I got to my beach to pull up my kayak, but it was a lot of fun.
