A True Chesapeake Story of Adventure, Hope, and Freedom

Reckless Night, a Path to Freedom Lecture

On Thursday February 6, Annapolis author and SpinSheet/PropTalk co-founder David Gendell will debut "A Reckless Night A Path to Freedom... The Royal Navy on the Chesapeake in 1814" as part of the Annapolis Maritime Museum's Winter Lecture Series.

Peter Parker

This a new presentation on the Royal Navy's 1814 invasion and occupation of the Chesapeake Bay. The presentation focuses on a Royal Navy frigate that carries a bold young captain to disaster and, a few months later, provides a path to escape for a large group of enslaved people at Annapolis. This is a true story of adventure, hope, and, ultimately, freedom.

Things get underway at 7 p.m. and typically wrap just after 8 p.m. In-person and Zoom options are available. Advanced tickets are recommended. Find ticketing information and details here.
