We're used to hearing about drones doing anything from bombing other countries to delivering Amazon packages, so this has to be our favorite use of a drone yet.
Captain Dave Anderson of Capt. Dave's Dolphin and Whale Safari in Dana Point, CA, set up a drone to capture a school of dolphins. He also caught three gray whales migrating, and a humpback whale hanging out with her adorable calf in Maui.
Capt. Dave notes that he sank another drone during the filming, but this one went off without a hitch. "Drones are going to change the way we see the world," he notes toward the end of the five-minute clip. With things like this, it's a change for the better.
