Box of Rain is a 501(c)3 organization that offers year-round programming designed to inspire and encourage Annapolis area youth, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances. Their mentoring focus helps Box of Rain kids build self-esteem, develop life skills, and earn a sense of accomplishment that leads to positive contributions to our community. To date, Box of Rain has mentored more than 500 kids right here in Annapolis, many of which joined the program as elementary students and then went on to become counselors in the program.

Activities range from boat building, exploring career interests and making resumes, and even a summer program which offers swimming, boating, and all-day excursions to places like Assateague Island. To volunteer or make a donation, click to boxofrainannapolis.org
You could also benefit the program by drinking wine! You read that correctly. Box of Rain's annual fundraising event, Naptown Uncorked, will be held on April 17 and features wine tastings, hors d'oeuvres, live music, an art auction, as well as an Eastport Pram built by Box of Rain students. The event will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wine Cellars of Annapolis. Tickets are $125 per person.
This event also features a raffle for five nights in Provence, France! You could win a once in a lifetime luxury trip to Provence with a five night stay at Relais & Chateaux 5-star La Coquillade, including private tours to some of the region's most exclusive vineyards. The raffle is limited to 250 tickets and now through Sunday, there is a two for one special. Tickets are $100 each or five for $450. So take advantage of the special before Sunday at midnight - TWO tickets for $100. The winner does not have to be present at the event to win.
