L'Hermione Annapolis Visit

 The replica frigate L'Hermione visits the Chesapeake in June.

Today she's still in Alexandria, VA... Here's the current schedule for the French frigate L'Hermione visit  to Annapolis  from the City, subject to revisions.

L'Hermione will arrive in Annapolis on June 15 at 5:30 a.m. at City Dock. (That's during high tide [insert smiley face]). No activities are planned.

On Tuesday, June 16:
10:00 a.m.
•    Opening Ceremony at City Dock

11:00 a.m.
•    Procession of elected officials, the Old Guard Fife & Drum Unit, several organizational and reenactment groups, along with representatives from the United States Naval Academy. The procession will start at City Dock, travel up Main Street and end up at St. John’s College.
•    Ship tours begin and go until 4:30 p.m. at City Dock. Tours are free to the public.
•    French music group, Les Choeurs Marine,  performs at City Dock throughout the day
•    Navy Band performs at City Dock
•    Historic reenactments and presentations will  take place including the appearance of Marquis Lafayette

11:45 a.m.
•    Procession arrives at the French Monument, located at St. John’s College. A wreath laying ceremony will take place.

3:00 p.m.
•    Dedication of historic informational photo panels by the W3R and the National Park Service at City Dock
•    The Eastport Oyster Boys will entertain at City Dock until 6:00 p.m.

7:30 p.m.
•    Annapolis Gallery, located at 55 West Street will host a reception for the public until9:00 p.m.

Wednesday, June 17  
9:30 a.m.
•    Ship tours begin and go until 5:30 p.m. at City Dock. Tours are free to the public
•    French music group, Les Choeurs Marine, performs at City Dock throughout the day
•    Historic reenactments and presentations will  take place throughout the day

5:00 p.m.
•    Oyster Boys perform at City Dock

7:30 p.m.
•    Annapolis Gallery, located at 55 West Street will host a reception for the public until9:00 p.m.
