The idea for Summer Sailstice is simple: on the longest day of the year, go out sailing. Celebrate the summer, enjoy being on the water, and just find some time to do something that you love. There are plenty of other days in the year to be compromised, to be annoyed, to be doing something else. It's an event that hardly needs to be organized, but in an effort to help get people involved the Summer Sailstice folks have set up a great new website to give you ideas for getting out on the water. If you have an active fleet or club, sign up online and start getting everyone involved. See who else plans on participating in your area and start getting excited. You know we'll be out on the water. We've already been making plans and getting our friends involved. What we really want to know is how you'll celebrate. Take some pictures and videos, or tell us your stories and fill us in on the adventures. Email those to us at [email protected] and we'll feature you in the magazine.
