Trunk or treat, tours, and more at Coast Guard Station Annapolis open house
U.S. Coast Guard Station Annapolis and local, state, and federal partners invite the community to attend a free public trunk or treat and open house on Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Coast Guard Station located at 3425 Thomas Point Rd Annapolis, MD, 21403. Parking will be available on a first come, first served basis outside the station.
“Our crews always have a blast meeting with our partners and the community during these open houses,” said Petty Officer First Class David Pena, the executive petty officer at U.S. Coast Guard Station Annapolis. “This year we thought we could have some Halloween fun and make the open house a trunk or treat so we hope people of all ages come out in costume.”
The event will take place rain or shine and will include local, state, and federal agencies, including the Coast Guard Auxiliary and Coast Guard Recruiting Office Baltimore, which will participate with assets and static displays, including rescue boats. The Aids to Navigation (ATON) Team and Coast Guard Foundation will also be present, alson with numerous other teams and agency representatatives. Coast Guard Station Annapolis members, who represent a diverse array of job specialties, will also be available to speak with visitors and provide tours of the station. Tours of the Station Annapolis building will be conducted at 11 a.m. and 1 and 3 p.m. Food and drink will be cooked onsite and available for purchase. This event will take place rain or shine.
