ALDR 2018, Stingray Point Regatta, and More Racing

Here’s Your Labor Day Weekend Racing Roundup

It was a light-air weekend on the Chesapeake for two popular racing events, the Annapolis Labor Day Regatta aka ALDR 2018, a joint effort of the Eastport and Annapolis Yacht Clubs, and Fishing Bay Yacht Club’s Labor Day favorite, the Stingray Point Regatta.... and there was some action off the Bay, too. Here’s your roundup.

ALDR

Eighty two boats showed up for the fifth annual ADLR off Annapolis Saturday and Sunday for the pursuit race followed by a day of windward-leewards on two racing circles.

SpinSheet’s photographer Will Keyworth outdid himself this past weekend and took a ton of great on-the-water shots at the ALDR. Find a link to the on-water shots here  and to Mary Ewenson’s party and awards photos here.

FBYC Stingray Point Regatta

Down in Deltaville, VA, at the Fishing Bay Yacht Club, racers gathered for the popular Stingray Point Regatta. We sure wish we had a FBYC communications contact to send us photos and stories from this very active club. Anyone? Email [email protected] if you’d like to spread the word about FBYC activities.
