Well, the forecast was for winds out of the E and then moving to the SE for 5 to 10 knots - and what actually happened was winds out of the SW at about 5 knots! It was Sunny - temperatures 63-68 degrees, Barometer around 30.24. Left the marina and got the sails up pretty quickly - but was really surprised by the direction as that was not the forecast. Still, enough wind to do some sailing, so shut off the engine as I was coming out of Langford Creek and into the Chester. Stayed on a close reach most of the time... until I turned to go back in. Just stayed in the big basin where Langford Creek, Reed Creek, Corsica River and Grays Inn Creek all empty into... just having some fun. Autopilot had some trouble with the real light winds, so did a lot of hand steering. Wasn't going screaming fast... but was doing ok until I started heading back up towards the marina and the wind really died off. Had to turn on the engine a bit early - which I was not happy about, but still a nice 3 hour sail! Tomorrow is supposed to be bigger winds - looking forward to that!
