Race 2) We made a plan to play the middle for puffs and oscillations. We made a plan to not stray too far from the line so we wouldn't be late in the flukey conditions.
We got too far from the line and then started 1:30 late then saw no preassure on the left so ended up banging the right corner. Of course a persistent lefty took hold over the whole beat and we ended up rounding with the fleet that started 3 minutes behind us.
A beautiful day on the water nonetheles.
Races 3+4) Great start followed by a bad tactical call and rough crew work. Over early in fourth race, but better crew work actually helped us to a better finish.
Race 5) We had a plan and stuck to it. Start at the boat so we can tack right for the shallow water and clean air. Then we played the shifts. Much better layline and tack calls this week. We had a great race and finished 4th, but only 20 seconds or so out of 2nd. We were a little late for the start and then got caught in some wind shadows on the downwind leg, but otherwise about as good as we could do. Lots of fun!
