Cruisers Creating Content stars race schooners during the Annapolis Sailboat Show
What fun special guests aboard the schooners Woodwind I and Woodwind II had sailing with content creators Sailing SV Delos, Parlay Revival, and Captain Glenn, as part of Cruisers Creating Content during the Annapolis Sailboat Show in October.
Cruisers Creating Content is an enormously popular assembly of sailing vloggers and the brainchild of Annapolis sailor Jeff Bach. It takes place each fall in Annapolis at the Annapolis Sailboat Show.
This year Cruisers Creating Content offered for the first time a VIP package, and the opportunity to join Sailing SV Delos, Parlay Revival, and Captain Glenn Shepard aboard Woodwind I and Woodwind II for a casual race from the mouth of the Severn to R2 and back. The race pitted Sailing SV Delos on one boat versus Parlay Revival and Captain Glenn on the other. The weather couldn't have been better. With clear skies, pleasant temperatures, and breeze around eight knots, it was champagne sailing.
The finish line was at an anchored catamaran, with a dinghy tied to the stern. Adding to the fun, the race finished with a competition in which guests on each boat tossed plastic balls from the schooners into the dinghy. The boat that got the most balls in the dinghy was the winner. Hilarity ensued as passengers on team Delos called for a crab net to pick up our missed balls and try again. Skillfully the Schooner Woodwind captain manuevered the our vessel so that the balls could be scooped as we circled the cat and passed the dinghy again.
In the end, Delos was declared race winner, but the real winners were the fans of the content creators who had the opportunity to hang out with their favorite vlogging cruisers.
