The Maryland Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Coast Guard have announced that the navigation channel in the vacinity of the Kent Narrows Bridge will not be passable this week due to work to install a submarine cable. A work barge and support boats will be in the area during daylight hours. Nearby vessels are asked to eliminate wakes. Boaters that transit the Narrows outside the channel do so at their own risk. The installation work will be on-going from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Sunday, December 15. Drawbridge openings will be unaffected.
