Shooting the Stars is the schooner Virginia's current program in which 11 high school students and 3 chaperons are aboard the schooner Virginia for a three week sail from Norfolk, VA to Bermuda and back to study celestial navigation. High school students from Alexandria and Richmond as well as students from Cape Henry Collegiate and Norfolk Collegiate make up the student crew.
The Virginia left Bermuda on Saturday, June 21 bound home for Norfolk.
