With masts more than 100 feet tall, the 496-ton ship cost $5 million to build and is the only galleon class vessel sailing the world today. She was featured in the NBC miniseries "Crossbones" that starred John Malkovich as the pirate "Blackbeard" and was also in a Captain Morgan Rum commercial.
Galleons were ocean-going ships popular in the 15th and 16th centuries. Most were originally consigned for trade, but those captured by rival states were often put into military service.
El Galeón Andalucíahas masts measuring 120, 110 and 80 feet high. She is 170 feet-long, has five decks, cannons and other features for visitors to see.
