Each New Year’s Day, thousands of spectators flock to North Beach, MD, to witness hundreds of brave participants “plunge” into the Chesapeake Bay to benefit The Autism Project.
The Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge and Plungefest to benefit Special Olympics Maryland will take place at Sandy Point State Park on January 24. Anyone can participate in the plunge for $75 in pledges, and all spectators are welcome free of charge.
