Around five o'clock this morning, the City of Annapolis' skyline changed drastically.
Hermione, an exact replica of General Lafayette’s 18th-century ship, arrived at City Dock at high tide. She is the largest and most authentically built tall ship in the last 150 years. She's HUGE at 216 feet long. She weighs 1260 tons. Hermione can be spotted from as far away at the Naval Academy Bridge.
Although Hermione is not the largest ship to come to City Dock, she may have the deepest draft at 15 feet.
