If your answer is yes, the Eastport Yacht Club Foundation is partnering with the Marine Trades Association of Maryland to host a free event at the Annapolis Boat Shows to give you a look into different career options in the marine industry.
If your answer is no, then come anyway to learn about what an awesome time you could have with a career in the marine trades industry!
What are the benefits of being in the marine trade industry?
You can be out on boats and on the water all day, you will get familiar with the inside and outside of everything boating- related, and you will be doing something you love.
Who: ALL middle to high school students (between ages 13 and 18), especially those looking for a career in the marine trade industries.
What: Maryland Boating Career Discovery Day
When: Saturday 11th October 2014 (Sailboat Show) beginning at 8:00 am, and Saturday 18th October 2014 (Powerboat Show) beginning at 8:00 am.
Where: The Annapolis Marriott Waterfront (Located at 80 Compromise Street) for both events
Why: A fun-filled educational day to become more familiar with and learn about careers in the marine trade industry. You and your parent or adult guest will enjoy complimentary access (a $36 value) to either the US Sailboat Show or US Powerboat Show, continental breakfast and brief presentation about career opportunities with the marine trades, followed by a maritime treasure hunt and escorted access to the show (priceless). Following the program, you are free to explore the show through the end of the day.
