Griller and Host Bob Higginbotham with salivating on-looker, Tom Bernhart at the Season Kickoff Party
Bob and Gail Higginbotham hosted the Back Creek YC (BCYC) Boating Season Kickoff and New Member Recognition Party on May 4 at their dock on Minnow Creek, off Whitehall Creek. On this sunny day, grilled chicken on an open barbecue was the main dish (after a dazzling variety of starters provided by members), along with tacos, veggies, salad, beverages, sun iced tea, followed by a birthday cake for former Commodore Rosie Cavin.
On May 15, the season’s first Midweek Raftup was held on Crab Creek, off the South River, followed by a picnic ashore at the dock and backyard of Molly and Wally Stone. Our Memorial Day Cruise took place May 25-27 at the Maryland YC on Rock Creek off the Patapsco River.
The Club’s week long Annual Cruise will be from June 8 to 15.
The Club is holding a new member drive through the summer, so join us for fun times and great sailing with a virtual club, for both sail and motor boats (we are looking for any boaters who enjoy cruising, and having fun with wonderful people who love being on the water.
