Why is it that sailing season on the Bay always seems to fly by? Here we are in the sultry month of August, and Herrington Harbour SA (HHSA) has a packed calendar, as usual.
Attendance at the Wednesday Night Races has been very high, and Series 3 is now underway. Also on the racing front, three HHSA boats competed in the Annapolis to Newport Race: Widow Maker (George Bauer), Poco A Poco (Nate Owen), and Mazal Tov (Arne Fliflet). We were also represented by Joe Laun, r/c Racing, who crewed on Donnybrook for James Muldoon. Kudos to all!
Here at home, the Sizzlin' Summer BBQ, held July 27 at Herrington Harbour South, was a huge success. This year we co-hosted the event with Herring Bay YC, which made it even more fun!
Cruisers look forward with anticipation to the Saturday Night Fever Cruise to St. Michaels the weekend of August 17-18, which will be a great time.... wind or no wind!
