The Northern Star Hunter Sailing Association held a Close Quarter Maneuvering Safety Raft at Worton Creek marina on August 17th. Ten boats attended the raft which included a very informative on-land presentation on the principles of motoring, docking and use of spring lines. A number of Captains shared their experience and techniques.
Thereafter there were in-water demonstrations of techniques for different situations and time for the attendees to practice using their own boats.The day concluded with a happy hour and an enjoyable potluck dinner.
