On Sunday 16 June, Dickerson owners Commodore Dave Fahmeier, Down Home; Chris and Bill Burry and D and Don Wogaman, Plover; Bruce Franz and Eric and Jackie White, Hemisphere Dancer; Barry Creighton and Jeff Stephenson, Crew Rest; and Harriet and Parker Hallam, Frigate Connie cruised from Oxford to the Hazen’s beautiful home on Trippe Creek. Past Commodores Dave and Mary Ann were gracious hosts sharing their stories and Dickerson Recipe book “Goops & Gobs”.
Upon return to the flotilla, the hungry boaters put out a smorgasbord spread on a tablecloth on Down Home forward cabin. It was a beautiful feast—with the two dogs kept at bay. We broke the raft overnight and all the boats anchored separately.
On Monday 17 June, Down Home, Frigate Connie and Plover sailed to Lynn Stearns waterfront home on Chalk Point off the West River. We joined Lynn for cocktails and she showed us the half-model of her wooden Dickerson 35’ LLIAFAIL Lynn’s neighbors surprised us with a meal of freshly steamed crabs, making a perfect ending to a wonderful cruise.
On Tuesday Morning the group parted ways and declared the cruise a success.
