Back Creek YC Celebrates Holidays Galore

Back Creek YC's final on-the-water boating event of this season was held October 19th at Gail and Bob Higginbotham's Marina docks on Minnow Creek, Annapolis  where members enjoyed a Western BBQ, live music, dancing,  and a Mystery manhunt. 

Leading into November was a Halloween Happy Hour on October 25th hosted by Colin and Christine Soucy at their house.  The Club’s Annual Meeting was held November 3rd at the Fleet Reserve Club to make plans for next season and elect new officers.   On November 15th Club members met at Treasurer Mary Bowie’s place in Crystal City for a “Plaid Shirt & Apple Cider Happy Hour.  This month, on December 5th, starting with dinner at Galway Bay Restaurant , a number of members will be joining  the throngs in Annapolis for “Midnight Madness,” to eat, shop, and enjoy various activities until late in the evening.

A Holiday Brunch will be held at the West River Yacht Club shortly before Christmas on December 15th for an exchange of “White Elephant Gifts” between the members, with active trading following the initial gift-giving process.  January 24-26 will be our annual Commodore’s Ball weekend in Annapolis.  We sincerely invite you to join our upcoming events and share the holiday season and next year on the water with us.
