Arghh! All pirates and pirettes are welcome to join us at Annapolis Community Boating as we turn the Ellen Moyer Nature Park and Boating Center into our own pirates’ lair. We’ll use our SUP’s, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and sloops to celebrate the longest day of the year. Add an eye patch and your best pirate’s hat to your rash guard, sunscreen and sunglasses and explore the nooks and crannies of Annapolis’ Back Creek and our own Smuggler’s Cove. You landlubbers may find hidden treasures in our lush nature preserve or along forest trails. Maties beware; we may post a lookout near the water tower. He won’t be taking prisoners; he’ll be taking photos! You can always come as you are, but don’t you think it will be more fun to pretend to be a 21st century Blackbeard, Mary Reed, or Theophilis Turner?
Join us for the afternoon and take a chance at winning a free private lesson, paddling or sailing session, or even a free season’s membership.
ACB’s mission is to make boating accessible and fun for all. We try to accommodate all ages and abilities. Our fleet of stand up paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, dinghies, and small keelboats is waiting for you at the Back Shack on Annapolis’ Back Creek at the Ellen Moyer Nature Park Boating Center at 7314 Edgewood Road. Individual and family memberships are $125 for the season. We also offer corporate memberships, so your work buddies can join in the fun and gain an appreciation of the Chesapeake too.
