The Chesapeake Bristol Club celebrated its 40th Anniversary at a luncheon on April 26 at the Café Breton in Pasadena, MD. Thirteen of our 39 previous Commodores were in attendance and made brief presentations to the group of 34 attendees of highlights of their tenure in the office. A gift from the Club of a stay at the Robert Morris Inn in Oxford, MD was presented to charter members Dick and Ruth Boecker in recognition of their years of service to the Club.
The CBC remains one of the most active Cruising sailing clubs on the Bay, with at least one activity each month throughout the year. Following our Spring Shakedown Cruise and Memorial Day events in May, the Club will host Mini-Cruises on the 14th and 28th of June and a Summer Cruise commencing June 30 in Baltimore, July 3 fireworks at Rockhall and in the Northern Bay through July 11.
