Hunter Sailing Association #1 had a great turnout on Summer Sailstice weekend at Dun Cove. Greg sv Stargazer sailed from Baltimore to Annapolis where he hooked up with Mark & Joelle sv Daruma & down the BayEric and Bonnie of sv Desert Star. By happy hour Saturday, Carl & Sue sv Windrose and Dan & Cathy sv Zum Wohl were on the scene sharing T-shirts commemorating the International Sailstice Celebration. Daruma and Desert Star are both catamarans, so those two boats actually had four hulls between them. That means there were more catamaran hulls (four) than Hunter hulls (three) at the Hunter Raft-Up. The unpredictable weather over the July 4th raft weekend with Hurricane Arthur’s wind gust blew some HSA sailors off their schedule. A few hearty souls weathered the wind at the Narrows with some startling fireworks over the Bay. The Tred Avon route boasted 16 knot winds on Friday. Mark & Joelle sv Daruma, Rick & Peg sv Mood Swings with Mike & Tina aboard sv Enavigare enjoyed a double display of Fireworks ( port at St. Michaels & closer starboard with the locals) at nightfall July 5th Please check our HSA #1 Activities and join us!
