Club Crabtowne will be entertaining a very busy schedule from October 2014 through January 2015, not only for cultural and outdoor events, but also for community-service projects. Following our September tubing, bicycling, and hiking trips from the Gunpowder River to Chincoteague, as well as a Walters Art Gallery tour, we have made firm plans and proposals for the following recreational activities:

October 4                    Blackwater Wildlife Refuge Bike Ride

October 10                  “Annapolis Collects” – Mitchell Art Gallery – dinner to follow

October 25                  St. Michaels Oyster Fest

November 15              Easton Waterfowl Festival (proposed)

December 12-14         Cape May Christmas Tour

December 21               Holiday of Ice at the Gaylord

Jan 11-18                             Telluride, CO, ski week

In addition, we are continuing our local day and evening sails, dinners at local restaurants, and movie and theater outings. We are also planning a Holiday party (“Mistletoe Mingle”), as well as outings to the Washington, DC, Newseum and the November 8th Eastport Tug-of-War.

For community service, Crabtowne members are a generous lot who are currently supporting  such local projects as the Light House Shelter, a garden plot along the B&A trail, and anticipated Christmas bell ringing for the Salvation Army.
