The Corinthians emerged cautiously from their winter caves on January 24 for their first organized event of 2015 – The traditional ‘Bah Humbug’ post-Holiday party, designed to cast aside the winter blues and begin thinking and planning the boating season ahead.
With the only snow of the season falling outside a group of 40 or so members and guests gathered at the Crownsville home of Past Fleet Captain Mary West and fortified themselves against the frigid weather with the help of plentiful adult beverages and a mountainous pot luck buffet dinner. A round of applause for the generous hostess was called for by Master’s Mate, Leigh Seaver, and a ‘Yankee Swap’ nautical gift exchange concluded the evenings activities.
